REMIND YOURSELF IN EVERY SEASON OF LIFE:

Hear From A Group Leader

“My group has been raving about this more than any event we’ve been part of. They especially loved the breakouts! So seriously, thank you all!”

Hear From A Student

“THRV has really been one of my favorite events. It helped me see that God is always with me, even in the lows. There was never a dull moment and I feel like I am much closer to my youth group!”

NAVIGATING HIGHS & LOWS

BREAKOUTS

Jonah Dawes. Arab, AL.

  • What kinds of plans are worth putting your hope in? How can we tell if our plan matches God’s will? Where do we pivot when our plans don’t pan out?

  • How often do you question whether or not you are following God’s plan for your life? Do you worry if your plans for your life don’t line up with what God wants? Is it even okay to make plans for your life or does that betray the trust we should have in God? The Bible tells us how to find the balance between the two and how to adjust when things aren’t going as planned.

David Gulledge. Fayetteville, GA.

  • How can I tell when I’ve veered off course? What are signs that things aren’t going how they should?

  • The Bible warns about the reality and dangers of "veering of course," which it describes as "drifting." What should we know about drifting in our spiritual life? What are the signs of drifting? But there is good news! God has provided spiritual safeguards or "anchors" to help keep us where we need to be.

Tucker Presley. Mobile, AL.

  • When should we set up spiritual boundaries, and when should we press on in faith? What can we really do ahead of time to be ready for what’s ahead? Where should we go when life gets hard?

  • Christians aren’t immune to the struggles of life. We still battle temptation, sin, trials, and tribulations. What can we do to prepare ourselves for the difficult times of life? How can we fight off the schemes of the devil? By the grace of God, we have everything we need to navigate this life and stay on the straight and narrow!

Donovan Rillion. Montgomery, AL.

  • How do we use the highs as real opportunities for growth, to keep finding God? What rhythms and habits do we need for the long haul?

  • If you’ve ever been to church camp, you probably know the amazing feeling of closeness to God and His people you start to feel by the end of the week. You’ve also probably felt the low feeling that comes after a few weeks away from it. Then you find yourself itching to go to camp, a retreat, a conference… just something to bring you back to the mountaintop. We all experience this up and down relationship with God, but how can we fix that? The Bible gives us some guidance in this matter and how we can thrive in our relationship with God, even in the lows!

Sam welsh. Decatur, AL.

  • Can God redeem any circumstance, any lot in life, and even any pattern of sin? Confronting thoughts like: ‘Why did this happen to a person like me?’ or ‘I’d be better off if that were different?’

  • Whether you dug the hole yourself, or you got thrown there by someone else, one day you will wake up and realize you are in a very deep and dark hole. Getting out seems impossible, and trying really hard doesn’t seem to get you anywhere. Luckily, when we are weak and unable, God is strong and more than able. What kinds of holes do we dig for ourselves? Why isn’t it always easy to get out?
