STUDENT GROUP ONE.
Let’s start the weekend off right.
REAL QUICK
If you could be in a character in a movie franchise, which franchise would you pick: Marvel, Pixar, or Star Wars?
Start by reading this prompt together.
Life is what you make it?
There are so many things in this world that are consumer-focused. Movies and shows are changed after showing them to focus groups. Products and businesses are tested before they are sent to the market. This is all done so that “the thing that is produced” is consumer-friendly.
When it comes to your relationship with God, however, the consumer (you) does not come first. Instead, it is up to you to make the most of it. Others can give you the tools, others can help you along the way, but it will be up to you to make the decision to follow God with your life.
The vision of THRV WKND is that students like you would know the fullness of God’s love and have a realistic expectation of what your relationship with God can look like. Jesus died on the cross not just so you could survive, but thrive. This weekend, what are you going to make of it?
Use these questions to guide your discussion!
TIME TO Talk About It.
break the ice! Share with each other: your name, grade, where you’re from, and one of your hobbies
What do hope to get out of this weekend? Is there a certain session you’re curious about, or something specific you’re struggling with?
When it comes to your faith, when do you feel the most high and the most low?

What do you think…
When has life ever felt like a roller coaster?
Time to REFLECT
At the end of the Student Group sessions, this is your time to talk about the sessions so far. Think about things like:
What has stuck out to you from the sessions?
Is there anything that you really needed to hear?
How has a topic or session challenged you?
Is there a thought, verse, or idea that you want to make sure you remember?
What do you wish was talked about more?
Since we’ve only had 1 session so far, you might not have much here yet.
That’s okay!

TIME TO PRAY
Pick one person, or multiple people, to pray for the group. Thank god for the experiences we get to share with each other and ask God to help us make the most of this weekend.
You’re done!
Check in with your group leader to see what comes next.
